At Downtown Family Dental of Leesburg, we strive to make your initial experience with our team personable, informative and pleasant. We are a family dental office with the skills and experience that allow us to provide a variety of comprehensive dental services.
At your initial visit, which will be approximately an hour, you will be seen by the dentist and undergo a thorough examination which will include a review of your medical and dental history, an oral cancer screening, an evaluation of your restorative needs, a check for periodontal disease and an assessment of any bite abnormalities. If current x-rays are not available, we will recommend taking digital images which may include bite-wings, a full series, or a Panorex.
You will have a cleaning by one of our competent, gentle dental hygienists who will also provide you with oral care instructions to help you maximize your dental health.
After the evaluation and cleaning, the dentist will discuss any recommendations and treatment options.
It is imperative that a child’s first visit to the dentist be fun! We will strive to provide them with the same services as an adult, but we realize that the visit needs to be tailored to each unique child.
If you are a new patient with discomfort, pain, swelling, or trauma, we will address the need on that particular day.
If you have a dental insurance plan, we’ll make it nice and easy to save on your family’s care. Our team will be happy to file your claims for you and ensure you maximize your benefits at every single visit, and we’ll even be able to answer any questions you might have about your coverage.
